One of the most famous waterfalls in Arkansas is the Glory Hole. The trail to the Glory Hole is in the Ozark National Forest off highway 16 east just under 6 miles from Fallsville, or alternately 2 miles west of Edwards Junction.
This is a fairly easy hike without great elevation changes. Other than the last stretch that winds down to the Glory Hole, the trail is flat. This is only a 2 mile hike. Be careful in the last section winding down to the "entrance" to the falls, it is uneven and can be damp near the creek.
Beautiful hike! But anywhere in the Ozarks is majestic. If you want to see a waterfall, yes, you need to wait for rain. But just being in the cooled air grotto and listening to the stillness of nature is great. This hike won't take you long, so plan to visit another close by.
A must see, but definately better after previous rains. But even with a trickle of water, it is still a great find. The trail is fairly easy but a bit difficult to find. Parking is limited since it is just a litte space off the side of the road. I would recommend a vehicle with clearnance before attempting to park. The tail head is about a quarter of a mile from the parking area, follow the dirt logging trail to the trail head.
