Evia island,Ellinika - Greece

The Ellinika village is located in the northeastern part of the island, 102 km. away from Chalcis. It has a population of about 500 inhabitants, perched on the slopes of a hill covered with pine trees. The beach is ideal for swimming, while the pines are almost touching the water. On the other side of the beach there is a small island dominated by the church of Agios Nikolaos. If you want, you can even swim the distance. Ellinika, (actually means 'Greek'), is named after the Greek ships anchored near the beach in the village, before the naval battle of Artemisium.
