  • 10 Most Interesting And Beautiful Cities in Europe



    Europe has so many interesting and beautiful cities. It's nearly impossible to make a perfect list of the most beautiful cities in Europe. However, I've tried my best to select the most beautiful cities in my list. This is a very tight and subjective selection of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Some will agree, others may find different cities more worthy of honors. But without dispute, these cities deserve to be called the beauties of Europe. 

    1. Brussels, Belgium

    The architecture in Brussels is diverse, and spans from the mediaeval constructions on the Grand Place to the postmodern buildings of the EU institutions. Main attractions include the Grand Place, since 1988 a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with the Gothic town hall in the old centre, the St. Michael and Gudula Cathedral and the Laken Castle with its large greenhouses. Another famous landmark is the Royal Palace.

    2. Berlin, Germany

    Berlin is noted for its numerous cultural institutions, many of which enjoy international reputation. The diversity and vivacity of the Zeitgeist Metropolis led to an ever-changing and trendsetting image among major cities.The city has a very diverse art scene, and is home to around 420 art galleries. Young Germans and international artists continue to settle in the city, and Berlin has established itself as a center of youth and popular culture in Europe.

    3. Munich, Germany

    The Hofbräuhaus am Platzl, arguably the most famous beer hall worldwide, is located in the city centre. It also operates the second largest tent at the Oktoberfest, one of Munich's most famous attractions. For two weeks, the Oktoberfest attracts millions of people visiting its beer tents ("Bierzelte") and fairground attractions. The Oktoberfest was first held on 12 October 1810 in honour of the marriage of crown prince Ludwig to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen.

Over the past decade, the city's infrastructure and social amenities have improved, in part due to its successful bid to stage the 2004 Olympic Games. Athens is the capital of Greece and is located near the southern tip of the country’s mainland on the coast.

    Major tourist attractions include the imperial palaces of the Hofburg and Schönbrunn (also home to the world's oldest zoo, Tiergarten Schönbrunn) and the Riesenrad in the Prater. Cultural highlights include the Burgtheater, the Wiener Staatsoper, the Lipizzaner horses at the spanische Hofreitschule and the Vienna Boys' Choir, as well as excursions to Vienna's Heurigen district Döbling. Vienna is located in northeastern Austria, at the easternmost extension of the Alps in the Vienna Basin.

    Venice is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world, due to the city being one of the world's greatest and most beautiful cities of art. Venice is located in northeast Italy.

    7. London, England 

    London, England

    London is home to many museums, galleries, and other institutions, many of which are free of admission charges and are major tourist attractions as well as playing a research role. The capital city of London is in the South East of England on the Thames.

    8. Amsterdam, Netherlands 

    Amsterdam, Netherlands

    Amsterdam is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, receiving more than 4.63 million international visitors annually. The city of Amsterdam is located in the province of North Holland in the west of the country.

    9. Prague, Czech Republic

    Prague, Czech Republic

    Prague is home to a number of famous cultural attractions, many of which survived the turmoil of the twentieth century. Since 1992, the extensive historic center of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites, making the city one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, receiving more than 4.1 million international visitors annually, as of 2009.

    10. Paris, France 
    Paris, France

    Paris is called the city of light. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The city and region contain numerous iconic landmarks, world-famous institutions and popular parks. Paris is located on north-bending arc of the river Seine.
